Mofan Amber Dai (b. 2000) is a composer, hornist and recorder enthusiast based in New York. During their years of music making, Amber explored extended techniques, performing with electronics and unconventional chamber ensembles, both in composing and performing. Their writing considers practicality while pushing boundaries of sounds, taking inspiration from everything from color and touch to emotions and memories. Described as “honest and vulnerable,” their music brings an immersive experience that creates space for feelings to be articulated and heard.
